Full‑Time, $23.22 to $25.23 per hour.

Job Description
Keep school building and rooms clean and orderly. Tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler while performing the following duties:

Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, hallways, stairs and office space.

Empties trash and garbage containers.

Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Replaces air conditioner filters.

Notifies administration concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.

Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks as required.

Prepares rooms for meetings and programs.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Preferred: previous custodial work experience.

Fingerprint background check required.

Must pass a criminal background check meeting state, federal, and Clarkston School District standards.

Must have or obtain a current, valid CPR / First Aid certificate.

Safe Schools Training is required and must be completed before start date.

Essential Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operations, and maintenance instructions.

Ability to write routine reports.

Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratio, percent).

Reasoning ability to apply common sense and solve problems in standardized situations.

Physical ability to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally; vision requirements as described.

Work Environment
Moderate noise; occasionally outdoor weather conditions.
