Job Summary
As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.
Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.
To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
Implement plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice.
Make observations, gather data, and identify patient care needs.
Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Assist with patient transport and transfer.
Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Adhere to safety and risk management standards.
Qualifications
High School GED or General Studies.
Completion of one of the following programs that demonstrates requisite job knowledge and skills: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program, Medical Assistant program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, Licensed Practical Nurse program, or completion of one year of nursing school.
Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (WA), Licensed Practical Nurse (WA), Medical Assistant Certification (WA), Registered Nursing Assistant (WA).
Basic Life Support – CPR.
Medical Assistant – Phlebotomist (WA) within 6 months.
Pay Range
$24.72 - $36.58 /hour
