Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a key role in protecting multiple client environments from cyber threats within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across varied infrastructures and industries. The analyst will ensure clients’ networks, systems, and data remain secure and compliant, working closely with both internal technical teams and client stakeholders to deliver proactive cybersecurity services and continuous improvement.
Skills
Strong understanding of network, endpoint, and cloud security principles
Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Sentinel) and EDR tools
Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond to multiple security events simultaneously across clients
Strong grasp of vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and incident response processes
Familiarity with MSP tools such as RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) and PSA systems
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and documentation abilities for technical and non-technical audiences
Knowledge of regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIST, CIS Controls)
Responsibilities
Monitor client environments using SIEM and endpoint protection tools to detect and respond to threats
Perform vulnerability scans and remediation planning for multiple client networks
Investigate and document security incidents, providing timely and actionable reports
Implement and manage firewalls, antivirus, EDR, and other security tools within client systems
Collaborate with MSP infrastructure and network teams to design and maintain secure configurations
Support client onboarding and security assessments to establish baseline protection standards
Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks for client environments
Provide recommendations to enhance clients’ security posture and resilience
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security operations, preferably within an MSP or MSSP environment
Hands‑on experience with network security tools, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability management platforms
Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and cloud-based environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS)
Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing)
Ability to manage multiple client environments and meet SLAs under time-sensitive conditions
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Certifications
CompTIA Security+ or CySA+
Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Time Management
Upon completion of tasks and cases, update ticketing system with documentation and time entries.
Accountability time of 8 hours required on a daily basis.
Daily time entries must be recorded by EOB every workday.
Time Sheets must be submitted before their deadline regardless of PTO.
Calendar must be updated regularly to accurately reflect one’s availability and schedule.
Follow time management best practices.
Use the dispatch calendar to schedule Tasks so the team is aware of your availability and allocation.
