Job Description
The School District of Milton is seeking applicants for a First Grade Teacher (1.0 FTE) position at East Elementary School. This position begins in August 2026, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team in shaping the future success of our students. We provide a competitive starting salary of $50,600 (based on the 2025-26 matrix) for a 190-day contract, available to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree. Additional compensation is available for those with prior public education teaching experience and further education beyond a bachelor’s degree, with adjustments for the 2026-27 contract year to be determined. Qualifications
We are looking for an individual who will engage students in the learning process. Candidates should have an outstanding ability to engage students and inspire them to think critically. Candidates should be organized, flexible, and have strong communication skills. Co‑curricular coaching and advisor positions may be available. The candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues as a positive and substantial contributor to the school and district, and assume a leadership role in the implementation of district initiatives. High energy, a positive attitude, and compassion towards others are a must! It is required that applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in Regular Education 1777 and have the appropriate position code for first grade students.
