Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant

Facility in Atlantic City, NJ seeking Trauma Surgery APP locums coverage Rates: $140/hr Opportunity Highlights 
- Start Date: ASAP through October 2026.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM).
- Shift Details: Coverage includes trauma alerts, inpatient care, OR, and rounding.
- Call: No formal call required; however, shifts may include weekends and nights as scheduled.
- Supervision: 24/7 in-house supervising physician; provider will not work autonomously.
- EMR: Cerner.
- Credentialing: Average 30-day timeframe (Temporary privileges available).
- Respond to ED for Trauma Alerts and surgical consultations.
- Perform inpatient rounding and facilitate ER admissions/discharges.
- Provide OR support for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.
- Respond to house codes and rapid response team calls.
- Ventilation Management: Invasive and non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP).
- Line Placement: Central Line, Arterial Line, and PICC Line insertion.
- Procedures: Chest tube insertion and minor laceration suturing.
- Credentials: PA-C or NP with RNFA certification (Required).
- Licensure: Active New Jersey State License in hand at the time of submission (Required).
- Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and ATLS or ATCN (Required).
- Experience: Proven experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, specifically with Trauma Alerts and OR support.
- Documentation: Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the last 30 days) required at time of presentation.
- Locals Preferred: The facility is specifically seeking local providers.
- Reimbursement: Mileage only (IRS Standard Rate).
