Genesis Legal Group is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Attorney at the Associate, Senior, or Lateral level to join our growing team in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Serving the greater Lake Havasu region, our firm operates in a vibrant Colorado River community known for year‑round sunshine, outdoor recreation, and a relaxed desert lifestyle paired with meaningful professional opportunity.
This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of legal matters, with a primary focus on criminal defense and family law, while also providing exposure to additional practice areas depending on experience and interest.
Key Responsibilities
Handle
criminal defense cases , including misdemeanors and felonies (DUI, drug offenses, assault, property crimes, sex offenses)
Manage
family law matters , including divorce, custody, and support cases
Provide legal counsel across a variety of areas such as personal injury and more (depending on experience)
Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings
Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, memoranda, and other legal documents
Conduct in-depth legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
Manage case files and maintain organized, accurate legal recordsli>
Negotiate settlements and agreements to achieve favorable client outcomes
Collaborate with attorneys on complex or multi-disciplinary legal matters
Stay current on evolving laws and regulations through ongoing professional development
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution
Active Arizona Bar license in good standing (required)
Experience in criminal law and/or family law strongly preferred
Broader experience or interest in multiple practice areas is a plus
Courtroom experience highly valued
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and case management abilities
Proven negotiation and communication skills
Ability to handle a diverse caseload in a fast‑paced environment
