Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol – Los Angeles, CA
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour
Job Schedule
Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations while maintaining awareness of unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders, applicable regulations, and Allied Universal standards, using sound judgment during routine activities and/or elevated situations.
Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card/license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
