Overview
Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center is seeking responsible and enthusiastic individuals for the Summer 2026 season to join our team. Situated on 220 acres in Reidsville, NC, we offer traditional, overnight, summer camp experiences to campers ages 8-17 and serve over 800 youth from a wide range of communities each summer. Camp activities include archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, challenge course, climbing wall, environmental education, goat husbandry, swimming, and more.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily care and supervision of campers; support group supervision and programming; promote positive relationship building and safe behavior.
Facilitate activities across camp areas (Arts & Crafts, Archery, Climbing Wall/Challenge Course, STEM, etc.) and ensure participant safety.
Support lifeguards and aquatic programming where applicable; follow training and safety protocols.
Contribute to overnight supervision and cabin-based activities as assigned.
Assist with setup and breakdown of activities and areas; adhere to camp policies and schedules.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18 by start date; ability to live on site on a Sunday–Friday schedule.
Positive attitude, professionalism, compassion, and ability to follow directions and work independently.
Ability to work with children of varying ages in outdoor settings; enthusiasm for camp environment.
Starting pay varies by position (examples: Cabin Counselors $300/week; Lifeguards $300/week; Aquatics Coordinator $425/week; Healthcare Staff $425/week) with housing meals provided as part of employment.
Work Schedule & Benefits
Work from approximately May 29, 2026 – August 7, 2026; typical weeks run Sunday through Friday; living on site in gendered cabin spaces required.
Meals/snacks provided during camp sessions (Sunday – Friday).
