
Collections Paralegal

Overview: Seeking a detail-oriented Collections Paralegal to assist attorneys in property‑related debt recovery matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience in collections or litigation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Open and maintain case files; request documents and communicate with clients.
Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and proposed orders in trial courts.
Manage e‑filing, calendaring, and hearing or trial scheduling.
Draft and respond to correspondence, court inquiries, and payment requests.
Assist with discovery, trial preparation, and coordination of witnesses.
Conduct legal research and maintain organized case documentation.
Process payments and update internal systems as required.
Prove ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a law firm setting.
At least 2 years of experience or exposure to debt collection and related compliance laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software preferred.
