Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Paralegal role, located in Millsboro, DE. The Paralegal will support attorneys by preparing legal documents, conducting research, reviewing case materials, and ensuring all case files are organized. Responsibilities also include managing communication with clients, coordinating with external entities, and assisting attorneys in trial preparation and court proceedings.

Qualifications

Proficiency in legal document preparation and document review

Strong research skills, including legal research and case analysis

Excellent communication skills for client interactions and collaboration with legal teams

Familiarity with legal processes, procedures, and concepts

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail

Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience in personal injury law or related fields is a plus

Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software is advantageous

Must have good word processing and spreadsheet skills (Word Perfect office suite & Microsoft office)

Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Primary Responsibilities

Ordering medical records and bills

Summarizing medical records

Preparing medical summaries and medical expense spreadsheets.

Interviewing Clients and Witnesses

Working With clients to prepare draft discovery responses

E-filing and E-service (familiarity with File & Serve Xpress)

Coordinating and scheduling matters with opposing parties and the court (depositions, etc.)

Calendaring deadlines; ability to follow up on deadlines.
