
Electrical and Instrumentation Technician- $3,500 Sign-On Bonus!

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician who is skilled, detail oriented, and self‑motivated. The basic function of the E&I Technician is to install, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner.
Responsibilities
Monitors and maintains facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Performs electrical preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance procedures safely and professionally with minimal supervision, in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policies.
Initiates and completes work‑orders and requisitions, documenting all pertinent information.
Responds and reports to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required.
Travels to other company facilities when technical support is required.
Takes proactive measures to address improvement opportunities with minimal supervision.
Assumes increased levels of responsibility when required, performing lesser‑skilled duties as needed.
Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the prescribed time frame.
Uses basic and precision measuring tools to calculate and determine lengths, surface areas, and volumes as necessary during routine maintenance tasks.
Follows standard safety procedures, addresses safety and environmental hazards, and reports them to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
Works overtime as required.
Works rotating shifts during outages or if requested.
Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and uses intercom, two‑way radio, or face‑to‑face communication as needed.
Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring issues, and takes appropriate action, troubleshooting equipment, diagnosing problems, and repairing with minimal supervision.
Operates other equipment including industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid‑steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.
Maintains a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, vendors, co‑workers, and management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years experience in the industrial or power industry electrical and instrumentation maintenance field, or a minimum of 2 years experience as a 3rd‑class E&I Technician with required instrumentation training/experience.
Licenses required as necessary to comply with state or federal regulatory agencies.
Work Environment
Noise in work environment.
Physical Demand
Stand, sit for prolonged periods, walk, handle tools, and perform fine motor tasks.
Reach with hands and arms; climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet.
Stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, and crawl; ascend and descend stairs and stationary vertical ladders.
Lift up to 50 lbs. and move around all areas of the plant, including catwalks, deck grating, and uneven surfaces.
Operate a 1.5‑inch fire hose operating at 125 psi to extinguish fires; use fire extinguishing equipment ranging from handheld extinguishers to 200‑lb portable units.
Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12" by 16" manways.
