
Data Center Power and Cooling Technician

This is a fully remote role. This role will also require 50% travel to customer locations.
Lenovo's Solutions and Services Group (SSG) is seeking a skilled and motivated
Power and Cooling (PNC) Delivery Technician
to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced cooling systems in high-performance data centers. This role is essential to ensuring the successful deployment of direct liquid cooling (DLC), chilled water, and other secondary cooling infrastructure that supports mission‑critical server environments.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background, experienced with industrial cooling systems, and a commitment to quality and safety. This position involves frequent travel to customer sites and close collaboration with engineering, project management, and service delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage installation and commissioning of liquid cooling systems, CDUs, and liquid‑cooled servers
Manage the maintenance and water‑testing schedule, results, and remediation actions for water quality at all global installations
Coordinate site readiness, logistics, and deployment sequencing
Provide technical oversight across power, HVAC, and thermal systems
Oversee testing, commissioning, and operational handoff
Deploy and commission secondary cooling infrastructure, including DLC manifolds, heat exchangers, pumps, and piping systems.
Install and configure cooling system components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform system checks, pressure testing, and leak detection to ensure operational readiness.
Support water treatment setup and monitoring to maintain system health and compliance.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes, flow validation, and sensor calibration.
Document installation procedures, test results, and maintenance activities.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in industrial cooling systems, HVAC, or data center infrastructure deployment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with high‑performance computing (HPC) environments or hyperscale data center.
Customer support background with exposure to technical infrastructure drawings.
Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and remote monitoring tools.
Familiarity with chilled water systems, DLC, or other liquid‑based cooling technologies.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and installation schematics.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel frequently and work in data center environments.
OSHA 10/30 or similar safety certification is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $98,000–$116,000 (annually). Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo's various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
