Treatment Plant Coordinator 2
Division of Parks & Watercraft , Deer Creek State Park, Pickaway County, OH 43143-9501.
Responsibilities
Serve as the Operator of Record for Class 1 wastewater treatment plants and a Class 1 water plant at Deer Creek State Park.
Coordinate activities of facilities in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, including scheduling chemical laboratory tests, overseeing plant record keeping, and ensuring compliance with Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wastewater regulations.
Manage process controls by conducting routine sampling and monitoring as required by the Ohio EPA.
Maintain water and sewage plant equipment—lubricate moving parts, change packing, remove and replace worn parts.
Oversee the safety inspection program of treatment facilities.
Qualifications
Class 1 Wastewater Operator License and Class 1 Water Supply License.
Minimum of 12 months experience as a treatment plant operator in water and/or sewage treatment, including conducting routine laboratory tests on treatment plant flows.
At least 6 months of training or experience in employee training & development.
Valid driver’s license.
Technical and professional skills: Basic documentation, environmental services, utilities, critical thinking, attention to detail.
Compensation
Starting hourly pay of $27.92/hr with salary increases over the first 5.5 years of service, reaching $36.90/hr. Longevity pay supplements begin after 5 years of state service. Cost‑of‑living adjustments may apply.
Work Schedule
Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm.
