Location:

Pasadena, TX (In-office Monday through Thursday with option to work remote Fridays)

Work Schedule:

Standard schedule is Monday through Friday.

Purpose:

Planner / Scheduler will be responsible for developing, updating, and publishing schedules for a variety of industrial projects for both Engineering and Construction activities.

Core Job Responsibilities

Prepare Engineering, Procurement, and Construction schedules for each phase of a project from proposal through engineering, procurement, and construction.

Understand fundamental engineering and construction work sequences and be able adapt to project team and Client requirements

Review schedule information including logic ties and interfaces for accuracy

Perform schedule quality analysis using P6 and other software tools

Maintain earned value and forecast data in P6

Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions

Consistently meet schedule issue deadlines

Work closely with Project Team to improve performance in project planning and execution

Perform schedule variance analysis and communicate schedule trends effectively

Develop and recommend solutions and mitigation plans through analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of project data

Proactively focus project team and management’s attention to areas of concern

Support internal training, workshops, and/or presentations to other departments or clients on our planning and scheduling work processes, tools, and systems.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field preferred.

5+ years of planning / scheduling experience in a capital projects environment.

Prior working knowledge and planning experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software (5+ years).

Advance working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge and/or experience with Power BI

Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines and commitments is critical.

Strong work ethic and analytical skills.

Proactive and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Participate in routine visits to project sites and fabrication shops to audit progress

Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Sit for long periods of time

Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch

Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects

Environment:

Most work time is spent in an office environment.
