
Project Civil Engineer

King Engineering is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Project Civil Engineer to join our specialized civil engineering firm in Auburn, CA. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer who excels in Land Development and can both lead a design team and contribute directly to technical project work.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the design of residential and commercial land development projects.
Prepare planning and construction documents, cost estimates, project schedules, and earthwork analyses.
Perform utility, grading, and drainage design using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Prepare and compile Engineering Reports, agency submittal packages, and supporting documents.
Research and interpret applicable codes, standards, and agency requirements.
Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, agency staff, contractors, and internal team members to advance project objectives and resolve issues proactively.
Perform periodic onsite observations to confirm compliance with engineering standards and applicable codes.
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
5–10 years of experience in land development engineering preferred.
California P.E. license or E.I.T. preferred; consideration based on experience.
Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS a plus.
Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines and project stakeholders.
