Hiring for Electrical Construction Manager

Northern Indiana, Central Ohio, SE Michigan (Detroit), Pittsburgh
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead large-scale, high-value data center construction projects. This role is ideal for a field leader who can manage complex electrical installations, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and ensure top-tier safety, quality, and execution from start to finish.
This is a travel-intensive role, requiring long-term on-site presence at project locations across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership: Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor Superintendents, Forepersons, and field teams; drive accountability and productivity.
Safety Management: Enforce a zero-incident safety culture; conduct audits and ensure compliance with all regulations.
Trade Coordination: Manage workflow across multiple trades, ensuring seamless execution and scheduling.
Labor Relations: Coordinate with unions and resolve labor or jurisdictional issues efficiently.
Quality Assurance: Oversee QC/QA processes to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
Logistics Oversight: Manage procurement, delivery, and staging of materials and equipment.
Problem Solving: Act as the primary decision‑maker for on‑site challenges and conflicts.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, safety, and resources.
Reporting & Documentation: Ensure accurate reporting, progress tracking, and field updates.
Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and optimize construction processes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with 20+ years of construction experience (electrical focus preferred).
Minimum 5+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.
Proven experience delivering data center projects valued at $100M+.
Strong expertise in
Electrical systems and installation
Construction methods and sequencing
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with union labor environments
Strong leadership and team development skills
Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, OSHA 500/510)
Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, high‑pressure project environments
