Founding Mechanical Engineer - Bay Area (On-site) - Novel Space Hardware
A leading New Space Start-Up is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to own the design, build, and testing of complex hardware systems in high-performance environments. This role spans structures, fluid systems, and thermal applications, with a strong hands‑on focus.
You will:
Be responsible for design, development, and integration of mechanical systems
Build novel technology from prototype to deployment
Assist with instrumentation and basic embedded system interfacing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration
You’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related field
Exposure to fluid systems
Hands‑on experience with hardware development and testing
Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
Experience with high‑pressure fluids
Exposure to regulated or hazardous test environments
Familiarity with instrumentation or embedded systems
