About the role
Employee Health & Safety Operator based in Wendell, NC. Reports to the EHS Manager of Siemens Electrification & Automation team and supports cross‑functional teams and EHS committees to improve site EHS performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
Advocate for Zero Harm safety culture protecting employees, subcontractors, and customers.
Conduct safety training and maintain the employee safety training database.
Improve employee and management EHS awareness while helping to raise safe work standards and practices.
Analyze and maintain EHS data and prepare regular regulatory compliance reports.
Manage workers’ compensation claims and the return‑to‑work program.
Provide technical guidance on environmental, health, and safety issues and regulatory compliance.
Participate in audit activities by identifying EHS issues and implementing corrective actions.
Support incident investigations, including tracking and record‑keeping requirements.
Collaborate with the site EHS Manager for direct support and guidance.
Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulations and standards.
Basic Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED.
2+ years’ experience in a technical EHS role focused on Safety and Environmental Compliance.
Proven understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations and industry EHS standards.
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls for workplace hazards.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams and leading the achievement of EHS targets and objectives.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continued and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Strong writing capabilities, especially for clear, concise EHS procedures.
Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks independently with minimal direction.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS 18001 Management System Standards.
Benefits
Pay range: $52,836 – $90,576 annually. Additional health and wellness benefits are available. “Pay Transparency” is observed per law.
