Packoff Lead - 2nd Shift Line 2

Education LevelHigh School## Description**Role and Responsibilities**Employee will be responsible for understanding and performing all job functions of Packer. In addition, the Pack-off Lead shall ensure correct product and batches are coming out of the spiral freezer and packed in boxes in a timely manner. Responsible for correct packaging, labeling, stacking of finished product and correct tracking documentation.* Instruct pack-off crew which product, and batches to pack to ensure acceptable temperatures and lot traceability maintained.* Perform and document HACCP temperatures.* Ensure pack-off crew has product available; Provide direction to pack in batch order.* Ensure correct boxes, date code and label are utilized and documented on associated form.* Maintain clean work area and delegate cleaning, sweeping, trash removal to pack-off crew.* Assemble, operate and trouble shoot tape machine, box conveyors, label applicator, stretch wrapper and date coder.* Complete pack off paperwork including, but not limited to: Material movement pallet numbers, case count, track box usage, case weights, changeover and label verification, scale calibrations, etc.* Additional responsibilities as instructed by Production Line Lead or Production Supervisor.* Adhere with plant GMPs and safety guidelines.## Qualifications**Skills and Requirements*** HS Diploma or Equivalent.* Be able to stand, stoop, bend and climb steps for extended periods of time* Be able to lift 40 lbs. from conveyor to pallet.* Be able to work in warehouse environment that may be cold or hot, depending on season during 8 hour shift.* Operate a pallet jack (Forklift when certified) to move pallets* Basic literacy (English) and math skills* Basic computer skills- To print labels* Allergen training required.**Additional Notes***May be required to assist packers when short-handed or for breaks/lunches to maintain product flow.*
