Cardiology Physician Assistant

Locum Opportunity Cardiothoracic Surgery (PA) Ohio

Seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for locum coverage due to resignation.

Coverage Dates:
• July
• December 25

Practice Setting:
OR, clinic, and inpatient rounding at a Level II Trauma Center

Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Evening and weekend call required
Approximately 7 10 days of call per month

Clinical Responsibilities:
• Pre-op physical exams
• Order tests and write prescriptions
• Assist in open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
• Inpatient rounding
• Suture removal
• Chest tube insertions
• Thoracentesis

Candidates must have strong OR experience with open heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures.

Patient Population: Adults

Support & Environment:
• APP works autonomously
• Supervising physician present in OR and clinic
• EMR: Epic
