
Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

We’re working on a Senior Accountant search with a global alternative asset manager based in New York City.
The position sits within a centralized finance function. You’ll work directly alongside a VP, contribute to SEC/public company reporting deliverables, coordinate with platform finance and FP&A teams, and engage with external administrators on data and reporting workflows.
The firm is actively building out automation infrastructure (Alteryx, Power BI) and wants someone who can grow into that process improvement work overtime.
Responsibilities:
Supporting SEC reporting and public company financial disclosures across the credit platform
Coordinating financial reporting deliverables across multiple investment finance teams
Advising on fund‑specific accounting treatments and complex fund structures
Reviewing variance reports and operational performance metrics
Interfacing with third‑party administrators and internal accounting teams
Contributing to automation and reporting workflow improvements
Qualifications:
2–4 years in public accounting, Big 4 strongly preferred
CPA required (completed or in progress)
Direct exposure to alternative fund structures
Familiarity with SEC reporting or public company financial disclosures
Working knowledge of fund structures, fee waterfalls, leverage, and NAV concepts
