Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician II performs a wide variety of maintenance duties at Central Villas and Magnolia Villas, 20‑unit and 40‑unit affordable senior and family housing communities in South Central Los Angeles and Santa Monica, CA. The role involves repairing and maintaining most items on a property without outside vendor assistance, and generally requires working at a property with 100+ units.
Compensation is $20.60–$33.20 per hour; hiring range $20.60–$26.90 per hour, DOE. A cleaning deposit is required and the employee will be responsible for utilities.
Responsibilities
All facets of lock and key replacement/repair, including weather stripping, door and window functioning, and locks
Perform all interior repairs related to walls and doors
Electrical repairs including fixtures, lights, plugs, and switches
Change AC filters, check coils, clean and repair when necessary
Perform annual unit inspections
Ensure unit turnover within 5 days
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and/or experience
At least 2 years of related apartment maintenance experience
Knowledge and skills in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
Valid driver's license and clean DMV record
HVAC certification preferred
