Diamond Infrastructure Solutions is an infrastructure‑focused company located in the U.S. Gulf Coast. The company seeks an Energy/Environmental Operator for Seadrift, TX.

The role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the company.

About The Role
An Energy/Environmental Operator will operate assigned equipment or areas of the Plant. This role will perform and report on operational related activities per the Operations Dashboard (OPD)-Tasks List. The role will utilize discretionary time to enable sustainable performance results for the facility, use operations knowledge and experience to proactively operate the plant safely, reliably, and optimally, work with Shift Team members to anticipate and resolve unplanned events, and, when necessary, provide training to less experienced operators. Operator progression is managed at the site level.

Responsibilities

Follow Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards, and practices to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas, ensuring discipline for planned and unplanned activities.

Operate and field check process equipment, monitor process conditions, key performance metrics, equipment and control systems, and make decisions to maintain or achieve desired rates and conditions aligned with plant goals.

Perform scheduled operational and related tasks and tasks that arise from resolving unplanned events.

Work with shift team members and other shift teams to balance workload, ensuring assigned tasks are completed by due dates.

Conduct effective shift relief, as defined in facility‑specific operating discipline and tools, to ensure communication and handoff to arriving shift team.

Maintain qualification in assigned areas per facility policy, completing training goals in a timely manner, using discretionary time to address skill gaps.

Mentor and train new and existing operations personnel on process operation, troubleshooting, and use of operating discipline aligned to plant training processes.

Perform Immediate Response activities, as assigned.

Initiate and document preliminary investigations, and participate in formal and informal Root Cause Investigations for events involved or by request.

Track and utilize plant key performance metrics on shift applicable to operating the plant role to optimize operations and identify improvement opportunities. Use process knowledge to make improvements and proactively identify opportunities utilizing facility improvement processes, change management, and communication tools.

Perform Autonomous Maintenance, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate policies, procedures, processes, and disciplines (subject to local agreements).

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent AND one of the following:

Associate’s degree or higher in Process Technology (or related degree).

Dow will consider those with 3 or more years of relevant military experience in lieu of a degree.

3 or more years of relevant experience in a Chemical, Oil and Gas or Manufacturing environment.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain forklift certification upon being hired.

Willing and able to work a rotating shift and overtime as required (including weekends & holidays).

Ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship or support is available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

TCEQ surface water license C or D.

Process Technology certification.

Physical Demands

Lift, push, pull, bend, reach, and handle equipment such as hoses, valves, and flanges.

Stand and walk for extended periods.

Work at elevations (≥4 feet), including climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.

Work in confined or enclosed spaces.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including FRC clothing and respiratory protection (e.g., full‑face respirator or SCBA), as applicable.

Work in environments with high noise levels and hazardous materials.

Meet physical requirements necessary to support emergency response duties.

Use particular types of equipment—e.g., on‑site safety equipment with weight limits (e.g., 300 pounds total). In the event of a job offer, the individual will be evaluated on their ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Chemical Processes: Ability to follow a sequence of steps, involving multiple unit operations, that transform one or more chemicals or materials into new substances with different properties.

Risk Awareness: Ability to recognize and understand potential risks, identify, assess or manage risk to minimize negative outcomes and enhance safety and efficiency.

Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical principles with the ability to trouble‑shoot and solve mechanical and operational problems efficiently.

Hazard Mitigation: Ability to identify manufacturing hazards and the safeguards to apply to prevent injuries and releases.
