Supervising Support Care Assistant - SEMORS - SIKESTON

Full‑time supervisory direct care position located at 112 Plaza Drive, Sikeston. Work schedule includes weekend hours and will be discussed during interview: 6 pm–6 am Friday, Saturday, Sunday and 6 pm–10 pm Thursday, but may vary to meet facility needs.

Position Responsibilities

Administer medication and other prescribed treatments, take vital signs, and assist with care plan activities.

Observe and report client conditions and behaviors; participate in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers.

Communicate with doctors, clients, and families; educate clients on care.

Provide transport to off‑site appointments and apply restraints when necessary.

Perform some security‑related functions in a mental health care setting.

Supervise and schedule direct‑care staff for campus group homes; oversee work of other support staff.

Participate in the treatment team, observe behavior, and engage in habilitation programs.

Schedule training for support care staff.

Prepare reports, track leave requests, and assist in group homes with staffing and programming as needed.

Provide coverage in group homes to meet consumer staffing needs as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or proof of high‑school equivalency.

Valid driver’s license.

Knowledge of facility practices, rules, and regulations; methods and techniques of supervision.

Two to four years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).

Documentation that supports your eligibility (e.g., transcripts, employment records) may be required at any time during the application and hiring process.

Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
