Payroll Specialist

A Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeing an experienced professional to join their team as a Payroll Specialist.
Responsibilities
Manage semi-monthly U.S. payroll, including equity and off-cycle payments
Support international payroll processing as needed
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and tax matters
Stay current on multi-state payroll reporting and withholding regulations
Investigate and resolve payroll tax issues
Assist with payroll audits, reporting requirements, and external surveys
Contribute to broader HR and payroll initiatives as needed
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant payroll experience
Solid understanding of multi-state withholding requirements and W-2 reconciliation
Experience processing equity-related payroll transactions
Familiarity with Workday Payroll preferred
Highly organized with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines
