Job Summary
Using skills as a seasoned, experienced student services professional, provides the full range of student services for degree pathways developed within the Divisions of Global Engagement and Graduate Studies, e.g. 2+2 transfer articulation pathways, accelerated masters pathways (3+1+1, 4+1), and the Global Access program for international 3+1+1 pathways. The incumbent independently advises students and resolves student services‑related issues on the full range of academic issues inherent to participation in degree pathways, e.g., application, enrollment, finances, academic and degree progress; under guidance from the Director of Global Initiatives and the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies, coordinates development and implementation of new degree pathways, including promotion, reporting, and recommendation of changes to policies, practices, and procedures as necessary.

Job Duties

Academic Advising & Student Support (35 %): Serves as primary resource and point of contact for students and academic advisors regarding degree pathways; resolves complex student issues in collaboration with departmental academic advisors, including grievances, grade disputes, student conduct, personal crises; reviews progress and advises on requirements; identifies progression problems; devises study plans; designs workshops; participates in campus‑wide committees.

Program Coordination (30 %): Coordinates intra‑campus efforts to implement and expand degree pathways; liaises with faculty, advisors, Academic Senate committees, Admissions, and the Degree Progress Unit; proposes new course articulations; provides policy guidance; communicates with overseas partner institutions; compiles program data for high‑level reports.

Recruitment & Admissions (20 %): Plans and implements outreach programs; coordinates promotional materials; maintains online presence; arranges recruitment visits; advises prospective applicants; evaluates transcripts; monitors applications, admissions, and enrollment.

Scholarship Administration (15 %): Oversees scholarship funds for 2+2 pathway students; ensures distribution per agreements; advises on scholarship terms; supports financial aid for 4+1 pathways.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and/or training.

Demonstrated expertise in academic program coordination and/or development.

Experience in university‑level student advising and/or support services.

Strong verbal communication and public presentation skills.

Effective written communication skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills to work with students and stakeholders.

Multicultural competencies and experience with diverse populations.

Skills in common computer applications used in higher education.

Problem‑identification and analysis skills; innovative problem‑solving.

Judgment and decision‑making skills; performance improvement abilities.

Experience with spreadsheets and/or database tools (Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, etc.).

Experience in international recruitment and/or admissions.

Experience in developing outreach and marketing plans.

Special Conditions of Employment
