Job Summary
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnered with a well-established company in the manufacturing space to help them hire an Assistant Controller. This role supports a fast‑paced, operationally focused finance team and offers broad exposure across accounting, reporting, and systems. The position is highly visible and plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Controller in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures

Oversee vendor master data governance, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and risk mitigation

Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness

Leverage ERP systems to improve reporting efficiency, data integrity, and financial controls

Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecasts

Partner with cross‑functional teams to support budgeting and financial planning activities

Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation

Identify and implement process improvements across accounting systems, reporting, and workflows

Qualifications and Must‑Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred

4 to 6 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing, product‑based, or public accounting environment

Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks

Demonstrated experience supporting or owning vendor master data controls or similar financial data governance processes

Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (Oracle EBS or similar strongly preferred), including process improvement and system utilization

Proven involvement in complex month‑end or year‑end close processes, with ability to meet tight deadlines

Experience improving financial processes, reporting, or controls using tools such as Excel, ERP systems, or data automation platforms

CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred

Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadership

Analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of solving complex accounting and reporting challenges
