Job Description
This position is central to the missionaries' role to 'Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.' The Supervisor Training Operations Coordinator supervises a work group that provides general administrative and operational support to the In-Field Preach My Gospel Training for New Missionaries division of the Provo MTC.

Responsibilities
Reports to Sr Manager of In-Field Missionary Learning and Development.

Provides General Administrative and Operational Support to a Director of Training.

Assists in conducting personnel, organizational, and fiscal studies

Assists in the establishment of processes to identify and prioritize potential projects; plans projects

Prepares complex reports that communicate department priorities, policies, and procedures

Assists with the department budget

Assists in developing techniques for measuring cost effectiveness and outcomes

Assists in analyzing workflow patterns, equipment, and material needs; makes changes to enhance operational and fiscal efficiency

Provides strategy and forecasting assistance

Makes oral presentations of findings to other members of the department and MTC committees

Responsible for department office operations

Coordinates agreements between Church and non-Church entities (e.g., GET, PSD)

Acts as a key division liaison.

Forecasts training needs based on numbers projections from the Missionary Department

Interfaces with the MTC Finance, Logistics, and Operations groups.

Works closely with MTC financial department in forecasting mentor needs.

Acts as a point person for all schedule changes and missionary assignments.

Assists the Senior Manager regarding ecclesiastical needs, ensuring that information is passed on to correct managers and supervisors and decisions are reported back

Interfaces with MTC Technology

Attends weekly Technology meeting to resolve tech issues and ideate on future improvements.

Works closely with product management division representing the key stakeholders within the training department

Informs the development of custom PowerApps.

Ensures that maintenance issues are given proper attention/priority.

Supervises Administrative and Operational Support Team.

Supervises the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce)

Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees under their supervision

Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree

3 years’ experience in training, office/administrative or supervisory or related field OR an equivalent combination of both education and experience

Ability to lead teams

Ability to develop successful working relationships with numerous people in a wide variety of settings.

Highly organized and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned work.

Communicates effectively with a variety of individuals representing diverse cultures and backgrounds and function calmly in challenging situations, which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in project, business or public management or education

At least one year of MTC teaching experience

Experience in language training

Experience in project management

Previous mission experience

Experience in training, and teaching

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Broad understanding of Church-wide missionary training

Abreast of current training methodologies
