Role Description
This is an On-call, on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Operator located in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, performing excavation tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring project specifications and safety standards are met. Daily responsibilities include operating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Heavy Equipment and Equipment Operation, with experience using bulldozers, excavators, and loaders

Strong skills in Excavation and handling used equipment for various construction and earthmoving tasks

Knowledge of Equipment Maintenance, including basic troubleshooting and routine upkeep of machinery

Ability to follow safety protocols and operate within established guidelines

Physical endurance to perform labor-intensive tasks in outdoor and construction site environments

Relevant certifications or licenses for operating heavy equipment

Prior experience in construction or excavation projects is a plus
