Assistant Corporate Controller

Our client is a well-established manufacturer seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to lead accounting and finance across their production and laboratory operations. Reports to the Corporate Controller.
What You’ll Do
Own the preparation of company-wide financial statements and lead the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance verification in SAP
Manage inventory reporting, valuation, and reconciliation for management, insurance, and tax purposes
Drive product costing analysis- labor rates, overhead assignments, and material consumption- and analyze budget variances to recommend operational improvements
Develop standard costs for new and existing products in partnership with senior finance and manufacturing leadership
Maintain and build reporting tools in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
Support annual audit and tax work alongside external accountants
Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, ensuring manufacturing production budgets align with selling entity sales budgets
Support sales and use tax compliance
Supervise and develop 1-2 staff accountants and an Accounting Manager
What You’ll Need
Active CPA license required
7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in public accounting
Manufacturing or distribution industry experience required
Strong Excel skills and comfort presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders
