Assistant Controller

Responsibilities
Assistant Controller oversees accounting, financial reporting, management reporting, audit, and tax compliance functions while providing direct support to the Controller. This role plays a critical part in month‑end closing and reporting, cost accounting, inventory control, financial analysis, and tax compliance, and provides financial insights to support operational and strategic decision‑making. The Assistant Controller ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements, and manages people, processes, and systems while improving, automating, and streamlining procedures to achieve corporate financial goals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA certification required
7‑10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2‑3 years in a manufacturing environment
CPG experience highly preferred
Business Travel: Ability and willingness to travel domestically
Experience With
Cost Accounting
SOX or J‑SOX
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Manufacturing Reporting
People Management – managing 3 people
Oracle ERP preferred
IBM Cognos TM1 preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Salary may be modified in the future. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.
