This role sits at the heart of project execution—supporting financial accuracy from project setup through final billing. If you’ve worked in construction environments and you enjoy balancing AP, AR, job cost tracking, and project financial structure, this is built for you.
What You’ll Own
Project Accounting & Job Costing
Set up and maintain project financial structures
Track job costs, budgets, commitments, and forecasts
Provide budget oversight and variance analysis by project
Maintain financial compliance across all active projects
Full‑Cycle AP / AR
Process and reconcile vendor invoices
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams
Manage collections and AR follow‑ups
Support accurate cost allocation to projects
Billing & Revenue
Prepare and manage SOVs, pay applications, and progress billing
Support Textura / GCPay billing environments
Track billings, retainage, and contract balances
Accounting & Financial Close
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Support monthly financial reporting
Ensure accuracy between job cost ledgers and GL
Project Controls & Documentation
Manage Change Orders, cost impacts, and approvals
Maintain EWAs and T&M records
Support project audits and financial reviews
Ensure clean, audit‑ready documentation
What You Bring
Experience as a Project Accountant in a construction environment
Strong understanding of job costing, budgets, and project financials
Full-cycle AP and AR experience
Familiarity with pay apps, SOVs, and progress billing
Comfortable coordinating with project managers, vendors, and leadership
Detail‑driven, organized, and deadline‑oriented
Systems Experience (Major Plus)
Sage 100 / Sage 300
QuickBooks
NetSuite
Procore
Textura
