Project Accountant
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected construction company in Indianapolis seeking a Project Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working closely with project managers, tracking costs, and ensuring the financial success of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project cost accounting, budgets, and variances


• Prepare monthly project financial reports


• Oversee AP/AR related to construction projects


• Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and monitor profitability


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• 3–5 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)


• Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and billing practices


• Proficiency with accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar preferred)
