Shift
Day shift: washing and folding shift; hours ending 2pm each day; weekend rotation every other Saturday and every third Sunday.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares and launders soiled linen and clothing; folds and distributes clean linens; labels, cleans, hangs and returns personal clothing to its rightful owner.
Inspects mechanical lift slings and sling straps for fraying and wear per the Safe Resident Handling Program; removes from service as necessary.
Safeguards resident property, maintains orderly storage, and completes required forms and documentation.
Cleans and disinfects folding area, linen trucks, and delivery carts daily; cleans washers and dryers—including control panels and doors—daily or more often if needed; dusts and damp‑mops laundry room floors daily.
Maintains residents’ self‑esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personal information.
Assists in keeping living areas pleasant and orderly; observes and reports resident conditions to appropriate staff; receives and shares information.
Cleans dryer lint screen at least three times daily; demonstrates adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections, including blood‑borne pathogen precautions by using impervious gowns, clean disposable gloves and sharps disposal.
Qualifications
Minimum of six months on‑site/on‑the‑job training.
Ability to communicate and comprehend.
