About the Role
Join SILVER CITY RECYCLING LLC as a CDL Driver and play a crucial role in our mission to promote sustainability through recycling. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for transporting recyclable materials safely and efficiently in Meriden, CT. CDL and experience needed to operate Rolloff truck or 4 car carrier.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicles to collect recyclable materials from various locations.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and materials collected.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members throughout the day.
Assist in loading and unloading recyclable materials as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients.
Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance practices.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
Familiarity with recycling processes and materials is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
