Forklift Operator
Team members safely and efficiently operate motorized forklifts to load and unload trucks, pull pallets of finished product from production lines, and place finished product in the warehouse as directed by the onboard WMS system.
Essential Functions
Move levers and press pedals to drive the truck and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Plan supply and material requirements by studying the production schedule; schedule deliveries to the production area.
Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications; locate and verify supplies and materials; secure pallets on truck; move pallet to production location.
Maintain inventory in the production area by anticipating and tracking usage; monitor inventory by reporting discrepancies.
Clear the production area by securing and moving finished pallets, and moving empty pallets.
Document actions by logging movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
Maintain a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Keep forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies; perform preventative maintenance; call for repairs.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

The ability to navigate within a WMS system.

Minimum Required:
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

Associate’s Degree.
Certification / License

Forklift certification.

Typical Compensation Range
Pay Rate Type: Hourly
$20.01 – $27.02 per hour
