Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Franklin, Indiana. The role offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.
Pay and Schedule
Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour
Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour
Schedule: First Shift Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm or 9:00am-6:30pm
Work Environment and Equipment
Products handled: HVAC products
Equipment: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, order pickers, walk-in riders

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1 year related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid forklift operator's license.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Team-oriented and able to work in a diverse environment.
Highly thorough and dependable.
Good attendance record and punctuality.
Initiative and high accuracy under pressure.
Capable of lifting or pushing/pulling up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Adherence to health and safety procedures.
Flexible to work various shifts.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks.
Manage paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading.
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Screening
Some positions require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and customer background requirements.
