What You Will Do
You are responsible for the management and oversight of strategic metallurgical projects across growth projects, operational support functions, and corporate initiatives, while providing direct technical support, mentorship, and advisement on mineral processing topics and promoting industry best practices across operating companies. Your role includes strategic project planning, project identification and formulation, decision methodology, evaluation with stakeholders, and resource definition to support process execution. You lead technical development work, quantify cost impacts, communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders, perform metallurgical support activities for project sites, prepare annual budgets and resourcing plans, recruit personnel, present updates to executive management and external partners, develop technical materials for patents and conferences, and maintain an industry network in extractive metallurgy and mineral processing.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and ten (10) years of experience in mineral processing and leaching processes, including five (5) years in operations roles, preferably leading teams, and three (3) years working on projects or technical initiatives involving mining and engineering companies

Strong experience effecting change in operating processing plants

Strong working knowledge of geo‑metallurgical testing, data interpretation, and modeling tools for forecasting

Strong working knowledge of processing techniques of large Porphyry copper deposits

Demonstrated history of interpreting geo‑metallurgical results and performing regression analyses and/or simulations to develop grade and recovery models for ore types

Demonstrated data‑centric capabilities using structured problem‑solving approaches with statistics and regression tools

Preferred Qualifications

Specialized technical expertise in three (3) disciplines and general knowledge in five (5) disciplines, including crushing, grinding, flotation, copper smelting, precious metal refining, solvent extraction, electrowinning, liquid‑solid separation, tailings, materials handling, process modeling and simulation, statistical analysis, process control, sampling and assaying, and metallurgical accounting

Broad experience in mineral processing plant technical support or operations management

MBA or related certification or experience in financial and economic evaluations

Experience managing small technical teams, including direct supervision

Energetic with excellent communication skills and strong execution capability

Experience managing large and complex multi‑discipline projects

Excellent cross‑discipline communication skills

What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $138,000-$193,000 . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation based on performance and for annual long‑term incentive consideration.
