Sr. Accountant - O&G $100-120k

Responsibilities
JIB and revenue research to assist with 3rd party RI and WI owner questions
Assist with revenue and JIB PPA’s as needed and reconcile the results
Adhoc projects such as helping with prepaid, bank, and other GL account reconciliations
Create better processes and procedures as needed
Reconcile NONOP revenue and JIB’s to operator records
Communicate and work with operators as needed
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with accounting standards
General Ledger Maintenance: Record, classify, and reconcile transactions in the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
Month‑End and Year‑End Close: Perform journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations to close accounts on time.
Audit Support: Assist internal and external audits by providing documentation, responding to queries
Tax Compliance: Assist with tax requests from 3rd party tax on a timely basis.
Oil and gas assets: Maintain records of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation of fixed assets.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess performance. Maintain lease operating statements and review with operations monthly
Equity Partners: Work with partner relations group to ensure timely distributions and answering partner questions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in accounting or business preferred
3‑5 years of experience in oil and gas accounting required
CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exam
