Aerospace- Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (PCBA)
Under general supervision and reporting to Operations Leadership, the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a vital link between TRIGO ADR and our Prime Aerospace or Defense customers. This hands‑on role will identify, drive, and manage projects to improve delivery, quality and cost performance within the supply chain. The supplier quality activities focus on product and process performance for all production—new programs, current production, and legacy—providing the link between Group Quality, Procurement and Supplier and interacting with all relevant functions as required. The engineer will ensure day‑to‑day project execution and coordination at the supplier and support supplier base development.

Job Responsibilities

Guide and lead a production team in the assembly and testing of electronic and/or mechanical products.

Take full ownership of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for a multi‑cell/multi‑shift operation.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

Interact daily with other functions such as technical support, engineering, facilities, production control, and finance to meet organizational goals.

Develop and implement strategic plans, including current and future state value‑stream maps.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and program deliverables.

Lead MRB activities to achieve optimal disposition of non‑conforming material and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Perform on‑site supplier visits/audits, assess manufacturing and quality processes, develop root‑cause analysis and verify corrective actions.

Develop and maintain detailed and accurate reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress; report weekly and monthly on supplier progress to meet customer expectations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

8+ years of hands‑on experience as a Quality Engineer in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

5–8 years of FAI experience with AS9102 standards at a quality engineering level.

Strong understanding of engineering processes, standard drawing conventions, drawing interpretation, specifications, and GD&T.

5–8 years’ experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality management systems, especially in production, quality, and logistics.

Knowledge of or hands‑on experience with FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations.

Experience leading customer audits.

Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

Project management, time management, problem‑solving, and organization.

Ability to work effectively as a team member and lead other team members.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Desired Skills

Quality management systems (QMS) and QMS auditing.

Process improvement tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, Lean manufacturing, 5S, TAKT, 5Why, 8D, Poka‑Yoke.

IPC‑600, IPC‑610, IPC‑620 as applicable.

Aerospace quality, engineering and manufacturing knowledge.

ITAR standards, USG FAR and DFAR familiarity.

Quality metrology functions.

Quality containment activities (MRB, quality walls, return‑to‑green plans, Gantt charts).

Engineering drawing and GD&T expertise.

Risk registry or similar forms.

MS Office proficiency.

Robust team leadership, mentoring, employee development.

Professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Strong decision‑making, analytical skills and professional judgment.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.

Extensive technical aptitude and organization.

Ability to communicate and present to senior management.

Business acumen.

General Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical discipline; master’s preferred.

Manufacturing quality experience 20+ years.

Aerospace experience required 15+ years.

Experience in quality management system development and implementation.

Supply‑chain management and supplier‑development experience.

Program and project management experience.

10+ years of FAI experience with AS9102 protocol.

Hands‑on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Knowledge of inspection methods, techniques, and protocols.

Strong understanding of engineering mechanical processes, drawing conventions, GD&T.

US citizenship required.

Pay Range
$95,000 to $120,000 annually (salary is general guideline; final offer depends on scope, experience, education, and market).
