Property Claims Manager
The IMT Insurance Claims Department is now accepting applications for the position of Property Claims Manager. The ideal candidate will be versatile, confident and have strong leadership skills. This individual will be responsible for administering claims and providing support and direction to claims personnel. Travel may be required. A Day in the Life
Supervises and trains claim personnel as assigned.
Makes decisions on claim reserves, coverages, claim negotiation, file documentation and customer relations on a daily basis.
Occasionally performs all field claims representative functions including the investigation and settlement of claims.
Participates in branch audits as requested.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Claims field.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
Primary job functions involve exercising independent judgment with a wide degree of creativity and latitude being required.
Must support the IMT core values.
Desired Qualifications
Strong leadership skills including the ability to handle difficult conversations.
Ability to advise and guide claim personnel in the handling of moderately complex claim settlements.
Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
Ability to climb a ladder and other physical requirements to properly ascertain claim damages. Includes, lifting, bending and viewing damage in fields.
Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market.
Must maintain valid driver's license due to required fieldwork.
Must develop and maintain strong negotiation skills.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus at least 4 years of claims experience or related claims knowledge.

The salary range for this position is $83,000.00 - $145,000.00. Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience.
