Overview
Ryder is immediately hiring a Temporary to Perm Material Handler in Phoenix, Arizona.
Compensation and Schedule
Hourly Pay: $16.50 per hour
Pay increase: $0.50 at 90 days if converted
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm, every other Saturday
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
Process day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid forklift operator's license
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work in a diverse environment
Ability to build professional relationships at all levels of the organization
Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
Performs work independently with minimal supervision and shows initiative
Demonstrates high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods
Comfort with health and safety methods
Available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up
