Intermediate Architect – Retail

An established, design‑driven architecture practice in Los Angeles is seeking an Intermediate Architect with commercial retail experience to join an active project team. This opportunity is ideal for an architect who enjoys being hands‑on, takes ownership of their work, and wants to continue developing technically while collaborating closely with senior architects and principals. You’ll be part of a professional studio environment that values quality, mentorship, and long‑term growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
Produce and coordinate construction documents, including detailed architectural drawings
Work across project phases from schematic design through construction administration
Coordinate with internal team members and external consultants
Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Apply building codes and support agency approval processes
Collaborate directly with senior staff and principals on active retail projects
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
3+ years of full‑time professional experience after graduation
Experience working on commercial retail projects
Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for construction documentation
Solid understanding of building codes and permitting processes
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Self‑motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working within a team environment
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
What Success Looks Like
Quickly integrating into project teams and contributing to CD production
Independently handling assigned scopes with minimal oversight
Producing reliable, high‑quality documentation that keeps projects moving
Becoming a trusted technical contributor within the first few months
