Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology care to adult patients
- Oversee Nurse Practitioner activities and coordinate multidisciplinary care
- Enroll patients in clinical research studies to advance treatment options
- Cover call duties as needed, ensuring continuous patient support
- Manage a daily patient load of approximately 12-15 patients
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation
Required Skills:
- MD or DO degree with valid medical license in Virginia
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
- Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient oncology and hematology
- Strong knowledge of clinical research protocols
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with research enrollment processes
- Prior experience in hospital-based oncology settings
- Proficiency with the EPIC EMR system
- Prior supervision of advanced practice providers
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology/oncology
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work scheduled coverage in April, Monday through Friday
- Capacity to handle inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Must maintain all mandatory licensures and certifications
- Travel and licensure reimbursements provided as applicable
Compensation:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $19,500.00
