Duties
Maintain, audit, and improve the QMS to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
Support initiatives to maintain ISO9001 certification and compliance
Adhere to PPAP requirements and submissions
Lead preventative and corrective action initiatives
Implement and monitor statistical process control capability (Cpk, Ppk) dimension data interpretation to stabilize processes and reduce variations
Develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to quality standards
Revise/update the Quality Policy Manual to incorporate statistical control programs
Create and document all quality-related procedures in compliance with IATF 16949 regulations
Create and document all work instructions in compliance with IATF 16949 regulations
Prepare for and represent the company during all quality related audits
Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required
Responsibilities
Support plant quality objectives
Support customer and internal projects
Maintain work areas in a professional manner
Develop and maintain a Supplier Quality Index, utilizing statistical control programs, to assure that only high‑quality vendors are retained
Prepare all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel
Regularly review production activity and standards with all company personnel
Conduct on‑the‑job training, when required, to increase efficiency of the manufacturing process
Conduct work‑in‑process inspections
Assist in performing incoming raw material inspections
Prepare department budgets and capital expenditures when applicable

Educational Requirements / Certifications
Minimum of two‑year degree
Four to ten years’ experience in quality assurance/control or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Internal Audit Experience/Certification
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Use of sight, hearing, smell and touch senses is required to be proficient in all essential functions and responsible job functions. Fine motor skills in upper body are necessary to evaluate physical objects and operate computer and manufacturing equipment. Long periods of sitting, reaching and/or standing should be expected, depending on the day’s work responsibilities.
