
Desktop Support Engineer

Insight Global is seeking 2 Desktop Support Engineers to provide hands‑on, in‑person technical support in a fast‑paced hospital/clinical environment, with a strong emphasis on Windows 11 imaging, deployment, and end‑user support. This role is heavily execution‑focused, deploying and supporting desktops/laptops at scale, installing and maintaining medical and EMR applications, and accurately troubleshooting issues across device, network, and application layers.
Responsibilities:
Image, configure, deploy, and deliver desktops & laptops
Build, maintain, and document Windows 11 desktop images
Automate image and application deployments
Install & support: Medical applications, EMR systems (Altera EMR), PACS / clinical software
Troubleshoot issues across: Devices | OS | Network | Applications
Identify root cause and **escalate** appropriately (PC vs network vs app)
Support workstation security (encryption, patching, firewalls)
Assist with EMR upgrades and desktop refresh initiatives
Must Haves:
3+ years desktop support in a large enterprise environment
Healthcare / medical setting strongly preferred
Associate Degree in Computer Science or 2+ years of experience or BS in IT / related field
Active Directory (user & group management, basic troubleshooting)
Strong hardware, OS, network, and application troubleshooting
Professional customer service & communication (patient-facing)
