Information Security Training Analyst
Overview
An individual is needed in the Electric Boat Industrial Security Organization who can take complex information and turn it into easily understandable content for end-users at EB. This individual would support the creation of structured training, security-related products and Job Aids for the Industrial Security Organization and other areas of the enterprise to support the President's Intent of having a well-trained workforce who will continue to be world-class shipbuilders ensuring Electric Boat maintains a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop structured training for onboarding new hires locally and at off-sites.
Provide in-person support for training of Operations and off-site employees.
Ensure current requirements of the following documents are accurate and up to date on all training:
Security Manuals
Electric Boat Policies and Procedures
Security Training
Newsletters
Bulletins
Job Aids
Security Documentation
Ensure all mandatory training related to security is assigned and completed on time.
Take complex security regulatory information and turn it into easily understandable training content for end-users at EB.
Support the Industrial Security Organization and other areas of the business in developing and maintaining security-related training products.
Define, maintain, and update security relevant terms and concepts in a detailed glossary and library of technical terms and records.
Specific Duties
Research technical security information/requirements:
Based on law, regulation, policy and guidelines related to security operations
For the Industrial Security Organization and other areas of the business
Work cross-functionally with SMEs in Engineering, Design, Legal, Training, and IT groups to develop Security training.
Develop systematic writing approaches and assist in defining standards, style, and terminology for all training materials with Workforce Development.
Translate technical information into clear, concise, and effective training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop, update, edit, and proofread all written training materials that contain security related requirements.
Maintain a detailed glossary and library of technical terms and records.
Integrate graphics/illustrations to improve documentation quality/usability.
Ensure all mandatory training related to security is assigned and completed on time.
Candidate Qualities
Be able to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment and have experience working on multi-functional teams.
Possess strong problem-solving skills, writing/presentation skills, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
A flexible schedule and light travel may be required.
Assisting in company sponsored events as needed.
Support all Security related audits.
Qualifications
Required:
Associates Degree or higher
3+ years of experience in an industrial environment with a working knowledge of the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program, OPNAV N9210.3, and other applicable guidance sources
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Final DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with compliance methodologies, the EB Security Manual, and other applicable guidance sources
Experience administering security education and awareness training and conducting self-inspections
Experience with process improvement methodologies and practices
Experience with Derivative Classification
Experience with Program Management
Skills
Ability to use various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Physical Qualifications
Light Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting
