Role Description (READ BEFORE APPLYING)
This is not a general technician or assembly role.

We are hiring a Fiber Laser Technician with hands‑on experience in optical alignment, fiber optics, or laser systems. This role involves working at micron‑level precision on high‑performance laser systems.

If you have not worked directly with optics, lasers, or fiber systems, this position will not be a fit.

What You Will Do

Assemble and test fiber laser systems and subassemblies

Perform optical alignment (lenses, mirrors, fiber coupling)

Handle and route fiber optics, including splicing where applicable

Troubleshoot alignment, output power, and system performance

Execute detailed build and test procedures with zero deviation

Record and document test data and system performance

Collaborate with engineering to refine builds and resolve technical issues

YOU MUST HAVE (Non‑Negotiable)

Hands‑on experience with at least ONE of the following:

Fiber optics

Optical alignment

Laser systems

Experience with precision assembly (tight tolerances, delicate components)

Ability to follow detailed procedures with extreme accuracy and consistency

Experience in a lab, cleanroom, or precision manufacturing environment

STRONG PREFERRED

Fiber splicing (fusion splicing) experience

Experience with fiber laser systems or photonics equipment

Familiarity with optical test equipment (power meters, beam analysis, oscilloscopes)

Background in photonics, optics, laser technology, or related field

DO NOT APPLY IF:

General assembly or production line work experience only

No experience with optics, lasers, or fiber systems

Priority on speed over precision and accuracy

Uncomfortable with repetitive, detail‑critical work

Compensation
$19.00 - $23.00/hour DOE. Higher compensation available for candidates with direct fiber laser or photonics experience.
