WPP Unite is a bespoke agency‑unit built in service of Unilever, operating as an end‑to‑end strategy, design, and activation powerhouse for media and retail marketing. It delivers innovative solutions for the world’s most iconic brands such as Dove, Hellmann’s, TRESemme, and Degree.

Role Summary
Embedded within the WPP–Unilever ecosystem, this role combines data engineering and media analytics responsibilities. The candidate will partner with Unilever’s data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, as well as internal WPP teams, to build reliable, scalable data pipelines, support media performance measurement, and create actionable insights for Unilever’s marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing media data, primarily within the Unilever environment.

Implement data models and semantic layers to support analytics and reporting use cases.

Build, update, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations for Unilever’s business stakeholders.

Collaborate with Unilever’s analytics and business teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet their needs.

Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure data reliability.

Support integration of new media data sources and tools relevant to Unilever’s marketing strategies.

Document data processes and contribute to best‑practice sharing within the WPP Media team.

Partner with WPP’s Performance Analytics and Advanced Analytics teams to ensure seamless data flow and consistent application of WPP methodologies.

Execute and advance media measurement frameworks, including ROI analysis, attribution, and campaign effectiveness evaluation.

Develop data‑driven insights and recommendations for Unilever stakeholders, translating analytics into clear business narratives.

Collaborate closely with internal WPP teams, Unilever internal teams, and external partners on measurement projects, custom studies, and KPI development.

Stay current on trends in media measurement, analytics tools, and industry best practices.

Manage relationships with agencies and vendors as needed, under WPP guidance and aligned with Unilever’s objectives.

Skills and Experience

3‑5 years of experience in data engineering, media analytics, or related fields.

Proficiency with SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Hands‑on experience with dashboard development (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Databricks, Airflow).

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, storytelling, and communication skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

Experience with media or marketing data, media platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok, and data‑clean‑room concepts.

Exposure to advanced analytics or machine learning workflows.

Experience in consumer goods or media/advertising industry.

Compensation
Base salary range: $60,000 – $140,000 USD. Compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
