Appliance Delivery And Installation Specialist
As an Appliance Delivery and Installation Specialist, you will deliver, unbox, and install major household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves) at customer residences, ensuring they function safely according to manufacturer guidelines. Key responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, testing units, demonstrating operations, and providing excellent customer service.
Safely load appliances onto delivery trucks and transport them to customers' homes.
Unload appliances at customers' residences and carefully move them to the designated installation area.
Install appliances according to manufacturer instructions and company guidelines, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
Test appliances to verify that they are in working order before leaving customers' homes.
Provide demonstrations to customers on how to operate their newly installed appliances and answer any questions they may have.
Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues or complications that arise during the process.
Complete required paperwork, such as delivery tickets and installations reports, accurately and promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and equipment.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations, at all times.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in appliance delivery and installation preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends as needed.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks repeatedly throughout the day.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Valid driver's license.
DOT Health Card or willingness to obtain.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems is a plus.
Knowledge and ability to operate material handling equipment such as strap carts, shoulder harnesses, two-wheeled carts, forklifts and pallet jacks.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to manipulate tools and appliances in tight spaces.
Ability to handle large and bulky items as an individual or with assistance when necessary.
